Do quality issues or breakages often happen?
No. Packaging has improved considerably over the last few years so damage in transit is now minimal. We only use top end suppliers who have their own very high standards so if issues come to light, internal quality control and monitoring picks them up long before the customer is involved.
Some of my order was broken when it was delivered. What should I do?
Unfortunately, breakages can happen, so we suggest that all products are checked on arrival to see how many are faulty. We recommend that photographs are taken to record details of any damaged products prior to contacting our office. We will replace damaged product as soon as possible. Unfortunately, due to the costs involved we cannot collect damaged product. Customers are advised to dispose of any damaged product once replacements have been supplied.
I have ordered too little. What can I do?
We can supply extra product. It should be noted that we only deliver product quantities as defined. When ordering, always allow for the unforeseen – perhaps order an additional 10% to cover those “slips and trips” whilst cutting. If in doubt, contact the office who will be happy to help with advice on measuring and quantities.

Can you recommend an installer?
No. We can provide details of local installers, some of whom have landscaping specialisms, but we’re not able to recommend. It is up to the potential client to meet and gain quotes for their own project.
How can a designer help me?
A designer can help in many different ways, from initial ideas through to product choice, planting schemes and project management. The reassurance that this can provide only comes with years of experience.
Which designer should I choose?
This is totally up to you. Much will depend on your personal preference and the design style you are looking for.
What information would a designer need?
It would be helpful if you could bring in photographs of the proposed area and some rough measurements but most importantly your ideas as to how you would like to use the space and how you would like it to look.
How long is a design appointment?
Usually an initial meeting would last for about an hour, but this can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project.
Can I be visited at home?
If you are local, yes. If not we should be able to arrange a remote garden design appointment. This is an important part of the creative process, where photographs and measurements will be taken and would be included in the design cost. If not we can arrange a remote garden design appointment that would could be conducted by email and phone.
I only have a small space, can you help?
Yes. We love small spaces.
How long does it take for a drawing to be produced?
The process can take a number of months from the time the initial enquiry is received, to booking an appointment at home, creating initial drawings, reconvening, amending, before finalising the design.
When do I pay for a design?
Creating a design normally undergoes a number of stages from the initial inquiry to the completed drawing. Therefore stage payments are required at pre-agreed intervals established at the outset.
Do you keep product?
We do not keep stock at our site. Instead, we order and deliver direct to your door, thus reducing storage and transport costs.

By credit or debit card for web sales, and cheque or card when purchasing at the studio.
Do you know any contractors that can help with my project?
Yes, with 30 plus years of experience, we know plenty of local landscaping specialists the details of whom we are happy to pass on. It is though up to the client to gain quotations and complete any due diligence before making a decision to appoint. By providing the specialists details, PlanToPave is not recommending or offering an opinion, but purely making an introduction. Any contract entered into is between the client and specialist, not PlanToPave. Any specialist though, will be happy to work jointly with our designers throughout your project.
Can you help me with a planting plan?
Yes we can help with a planting plan at extra cost.
Do you do garden maintenance?
Yes, this can be arranged.
